New Board & New Reach: Baltimore Metropolitan Focus
Chapter County Executives, Community service, campus org. pipelined impact, "snail mail", and re-emphasizing the "A" in A&T.
With the fire lit, the real work begins. MD Aggies want to be engaged and contribute in creative ways across the state - and there's a PACK of us:
2024 -> 287 Members! |
|
From July 2024 - June 2025 we've experienced a change in our Aggies - inspired to be involved in something unifying. |
June 2025 -> ~900+ General Body Members!
|
|
60+ were through organic growth while the remaining added Aggies were from a data set provided by O.A.R. (office of Alumni Relations). Out of the LARGE set of Aggies in MD, over 600+ responded to the call to be involved! |
There's much to do and a lot of Aggies to engage with. Here are somethings birthed from the past Fiscal Year to expand on:
-
Black Owned Farms
- Assist in Technology implementations | Help with media | re-embrace Agricultural within our name
-
Inner City Youth
- Push a pipeline for education with kids in partnerships with our alumni in the MD educational system
-
Custom Mobile App
- Have all Baltimore Aggie Communication Lines in one app that we own and nurture
-
Golden Couriers
- Finally cultivate the "Snail Mail" postage system for our Aggies that prefer mail to their front door in partnership with USPS thanks to Aggies that work there as well
-
Merchandise & Branding
- Reinforce a supply chain line for our chapter merch to embrace our pride as Baltimore Metro AND afterwards our Aggies across all of MD
-
County Executives
- Provide rotational positions to Aggies across each county to help build county identity and connection per county so that all focus doesn't feel default to Baltimore City anymore -> also it would be pretty cool to have county wars.... just saying (smiley face)
